Visiting Ray Avenue

Visiting any church for the very first time can be a tough experience. Well, we want to put you at ease. Your first visit to Ray Avenue Baptist will be refreshing and enjoyable for your whole family. We want you to experience inspiring music, Biblical preaching, friendly faces, and a place that you can call home. Here are a few answers to your questions and what you might expect on your first visit.

When are your services?

Sunday
Sunday School @ 9:30 AM
Worship Service @ 10:30 AM
Evening Service @ 6:00 PM

Wednesday - Midweek Service @ 7:00 PM
Friday - R/U Recovery @ 7:00 PM

Where is the church located?

We are located at 2801 East Ray Avenue in Salina, Kansas. You can't miss our building. We are right next to the Coronado Elementary School.

What can I expect?

As you approach the building, one of our greeters will meet you and direct you to the right classes and services. They can also answer other questions you might have. Adults attend our worship service where they enjoy the beautiful and inspiring music from our choir, special groups, and soloists. The music is always followed by a clear, helpful, and challenging Bible message from our pastor or a guest speaker.

Also, there are Sunday School classes at 9:30 am. These classes are held in a smaller group setting where you will get to meet people and receive a practical Bible lesson applicable to you. The best way to get to know people at Ray Avenue Baptist Church is to visit one of these classes.

What about my kids?

Starting with a loving nursery, there is something special for every age child. At every service there are safe, clean, and staffed nurseries for children 3 years old and under. On Sunday mornings and Wednesday evenings, there are fun, friendly, and Bible-centered classes for children four years old through sixth grade. These classes are staffed with trained, friendly, and well-qualified teachers and helpers who will make church exciting and memorable for your child.

We have greeters and ushers located all around the building who would like to help you find the nursery, classes, and services for every person in your family. Children and Teen classes are divided into the following categories: Nursery, Toddlers, K4-K5, 1st-2nd grade, 3rd-4th grade, 5th-6th grade, Jr. High, and Sr. High.

Am I expected to give in the offering?

No. We don't invite you to Ray Avenue Baptist Church for your offering. We want our service to be a gift to you. We hope you will find in this place a warm family spirit, truth from God's Word, and a place where you can grow in God's grace. Please don't feel any obligation to participate in the offering as a guest.

How should I dress?

There is not a dress code at Ray Avenue Baptist Church for members or guests. Our ministry leaders and many of our church family dress in more traditional “Sunday” dress; however, our main goal is that you would feel welcome and comfortable on your visit here at Ray Avenue Baptist!
